Ok, I need some advice

Ok, now like a ton of craft minded ladies around the globe, I want to make Leanne's Vignette BOM (I know ANOTHER project!). I see this as a long term project as it goes for 2 years, so why not! I have not started as yet, as I have other stuff I need to get done first, and the second issue is due here TOMORROW!!

So, I was thinking of making mine a bit different. And, if you are a regular reader of my blog, you will know that I *LOVE* 'Breakfast At Tiffany's' by Fig Tree Quilts and had decided on that range! Now going back a few weeks ago, I caught up with my lovely friend Leanne, and she showed me her BEAUTIFUL Vignette block..... and it was made using a couple of Fig Tree ranges (not Strawberry Fields). I don't want to be the same as Leanne, but I am sure they would look different if I choose to go that way.

Here is Breakfast at Tiffany's:

So, I then thought maybe I could use another of Fig Tree ranges, "Strawberry Fields', with a few Breakfast at Tiffany's thrown in (and I have some Whimsy left from the 'George Town Circle' I made for Mum and Dad for Christmas).
Strawberry Fields:
Then, the other day, I was chatting to Roseanne about what range she is going to use, and I showed her 'Oasis' by 3 Sisters. Very pretty indeed! The more I looked at it, the more I thought I liked it, then she decided on that for hers. Bumma!
Oasis:

So, as you can see, I am in a bit of a pickle and would love your suggestions on which to choose. I also purchased my pack of Lecian basics just in case as these were getting hard to get, and I would HATE to miss out lol!
I would love to hear your opinion.
***EDIT: I have put a poll on the top right of my side bar so that it is quicker and easier than commenting, cause I know there are LOTS of blurkers about lol***
I hope you all are having a wonderful Monday.

To hard to choose. I think you should choose the fabric range that makes you happy. If someone is using the same...well it doesn't really matter. After all the quilts won't be living at the same house.

I'm with Tess....go with your first instinct Sarah...it's often what you come back to.
Cheers....Jane.

How do I stop the music? It's coming in spits and spurts........

with the fabrics I say don't worry about what the others are choosing and pick what you like.......they are all nice.

And they will look different by placement and what you choose to put in different places..........

I'm like you Sarah, want to do this, getting a late start & looking at maybe a different range of fabrics. Of those 3 Oasis is definately my favourite, no reason you can't use it too. I'm sure the quilts will end up different depending on colour placement. Who knows what is to following in the coming issues of Vignette. I received my parcel with 'When The Wind Blows' in it this morning - super fast delivery - thanks! Tracee xx

Im sure Razzy wont mind if you use the same as her. Afterall different fabric placements would make them look different. Just go with your first instinct and who knows by the time you are ready to start you may have another favourite :)

they are all lovely...usually first instinct is the right one...but as the others said, there are lots of ranges out there, and you might find a new fav!
Or you could make one in each range!

(the word verification is "moment" wonder if that means to take a moment to consider your choice!)

I kind of like them all, I did vote but just cause Razzy is your S/L doesent mean you cant use the same like everybody says placement will change it anyway

Question...have you seen Fig Trees new Buttercup?
So if you go with that range all of the colours are similar and you could add bits as ranges come out in the next 2 years or however it's going to take you to finish, that my thoughts on it.
They all look lovely and I can see why the dilemma

Hi Sarah,go with your first choice of Fig Tree. You could start with a bundle of Fig Tree Favourites [they have a great bundle out now, a few of the older fabrics in there]and you could add the Breakfast at Tiff, Whimsy,Buttercup and future collections as you need them and they would blend beautifully! mum
