Another April Finish and EXCITING news!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! Yes, the Easter Bunny hopped into my home and left me some goodies - YUM! While I had a lovely 5 days off, doing the normal home duties, I did manage to fit in quite a lot of *ME* stitching! And, this is one of the projects I have just completed:

Mind you, I finished that stitchery a month (or two) ago! I quite like it in the red! I plan to put this away for a gift later on in the year!

So, what is my exciting news?! Well, when I got to work this morning, there was a notice on the board in the lunch room from our employers telling us that they are offering us all a 4 night trip to Cairns in Oct..... ALL expenses paid (apart for 2 nights tea!!), we are going on a cruise one day, a bus trip another.......... Partners have to pay, but is SO cheap!! WOW!! You can imagine the buzz around the place today!
I hope your day has been as exciting!!
x Sarah

So you're going??? Cairns is an awesome place!! You're going to love it if you go! Not only is it full of fabulous shops with realy nice *cheep* stuff and heaps of ideas but (and I kno this won't worry you all that much) it's a great place for herping! While there you must go shopping in the main street! There is a Ken Duncan photography studio there that is a MUST see, and a beautiful Australian shell shop! Oh, and sooooo many more I could mention, but there's probably no time! And if you get to, you NEED to go to Kuranda! Go up there via train and come back via the sky lift. While there, visit the butterfly farm!!!!!!!! You HAVE to, it was one of the best experiences of my life, so you will love it too!

Hey Sarah! Sounds like you had a stitchy Easter too - we enjoyed a "Home-iday" where we had a holiday at home for four days - BLISS! :0) And I'm pretty jealous of your trip to Cairns! I haven't been up there for about 20 years, but LOVED it! There is so much to see and do and the mood is lovely and laid back - you're sure to have a ball! Hmmm ... wonder if I can convince Head Office that I deserve a holiday in Cairns too! Tee! Hee! Hee! Bear Hugs! KRIS
PS. My charm squares arrived safely - thank you! BH! K
