Our Gift

I decided to make the newly married couple, Simon & Katie a quilt as their gift from us. I cant quite remember the pattern name, but I will be getting some in my store soon (when I come back from holidays), and if you would like to order one please email me and I will keep one aside. I must say, that it was a lovely easy to follow pattern!
Such pretty fabrics - Northern Solitude, one of MY favourites LOL!!

I did think this range would be perfect as Kate loves Butterflies and this range has them in some of the fabrics. I decided to applique some scattered about the quilt. I only did 5 as I didn't want to take they eye of the GORGEOUS fabrics! The Butterfly designs came from Leanne's House BOM Butterfly Garden.

Here is the label:

And, a close up of my quilting! That turned out a treat! Only the second time I have done freehand hearts!

Today was spent shopping, such a nice relaxing day!

Sarah, this is beautiful! I love the fabrics, the colors and the quilting. The block on the back is what will make the quilt a special keepsake. Great job and nice gift. Thanks~Stephanie from Maryland

Hi Sarah,
WOW, the quilt is magnificent. Those fabrics are really gorgeous. Well, the little quilt I'm making out of the charm packs I bought won't be a patch on yours, but I so love those fabrics.
Great stuff.
