Another quilt quilted......

Last weekend I popped into Calico Crossroads to drop off a quilt that I had quilted for the lovely Pauline! I actually quilted it using black thread and I thought it looked a treat. I couldn't get a decent full pic as it was night time when I took the pic, and this one is the best of the bunch:

Such gorgeous fabrics don't you think?

Here is a another close up of my work:

I would have to say that these would not be the 'usual' fabrics I would choose myself, but after seeing this quilt I think my tastes have changed! The black sashing really looks great with the fabrics! Once bound, Pauline will display it in her shop for a little while.......

I also would not have chosen those fabrics however I have to say it all works really well together.
your swirls look good on it too

Hey Sarah, like this one! Black stitching finished it of nicely.Only problem is, I noticed those swirls are a bit on the wonky side! You need more practise! What's a mother's job but to help out a daughter in need,so... to help you out I will see if I can dig up some UFO's for you.More practise, you know. Don't thank me, a mother's job as I said!

hi Sarah,
funny story this quilt, a customer bought the fabrics to make a stack and slash like mine, but messed it up..so I took the fabrics back all in bits and gave her a fresh lot, then my friend Carol made this one out of the left over fabrics. Still looks great though and very happy with your quilting...
