Post number 99!!

A couple of weeks ago, I finished Chapter 6 of Truly Scrumptious. Only 4 more to go. There is actually 9 in this BOM, but one is a bonus, and I thought I would do them all and then choose which 9 I would like in the top - the spare one I might make into a bag ....... maybe!! I wont be getting back into this for a little while as I have Bec's Xmas Tree Ornie to finish and my 'giveaway'!!

I have been going great with Peg's Challenge and have already quilted the main block - which doesn't not take much at all (unsure if to quilt around the writing as yet) and also finished the side block! I am very happy with my stitches, not TOO uneven and am really getting the hang of this Thimblelady technique!

I decided not to quilt in the ditch as I am using cream DMC Pearl thread and wanted the stitches to be shown: (the black thread is my basting thread lol)

What a LOVELY surprise from Lynda on Thursday!! She made me this beautiful cushion. Aren't I lucky??!! She has used a red variegated thread - I think and I have put this in my dining room on a cane chest I have in there!! Looks great!! Thankyou SO much Lynda xx

Ok, this is my 99th post!! YAY!! 99 post since 27/1/07!! So, to help me celebrate I am having a giveaway on my 100th post. So, keep checking here to see what the prize is (if you have not already guessed). Hopefully get around to it on Wed/Thurs........
Happy stitching
x Sarah

PS: Did you know that Rosalie Quinlan's new book 'Gift' is out (well its on its way to the shops)?? I have pre-ordered mine from Kerry - cant wait to recieve it!!!

Things are coming along nicely Sarah! I am working on block 4 of Truly Scrumptious - haven't picked it up for a while. I have almost finished Christine's trre ornament as well, looking forward to having it completed and being able to post it off to her!

Sarah, I can see why you haven't started Lynette's free BOM. You been too busy stitching other things and your work is lovely.
Rosie's book "The Gift" is beautiful you won't be disapointed.

You are very lucky. I bought the Truly BOM and Leane's House at Honeysuckle cottage last february but I hadn't notice from them.... hope to make my dreams true and make these two quilts. Your Truly looks very beautiful. Congratulations

So much loveliness here, Sarah. Truly Scrumptious looks amazing. Good on your for handquilting your quilt. Not something I'm good at. And I love the redwork cushion. Would look right at home at my place! (As it does at yours.)

Hi Sarah, Wanted to email you privately but your email link was not enabled. Anyway...I have looked high and low for the darling cinderberry designs you used, which were great by the way, and would love to know where to find them? I went to the designers website, but the US stores for some reason are not carrying her stuff. Would it be too much trouble to email me back?
Thanks much,
Desi
