Peg's Quilting Challenge

I have signed up for Peg's Quilting Challenge!! She is going to try to finish 5 quilts by the end of July and is asking for anyone who wishes to join her in this mission by completing their own ufo's by the end of July!! As I dont have too many flimsy's I decided my challenge would be quilting Journey of a Quilter in 6 weeks!! So, today I got it ready to quilt. I decided to use my thimblelady thimble to quilt it - I did the lesson about a year or so ago, was not that great at it, but thought I would give it another go with the DMC pearl thread. Well, I did about 3 stitches in about half an hour, at this rate I reakon I will complete it in about 5 years LOL!! I was REALLY starting to regret this challenge! I think I have now got the hang of it, still slow but it is actually looking quite good!!

I have joined up at Karen's for the Cyber Stitching! Sounds really great and I am really looking forward to receiving my package this week :o) Anyone else doing it??
Also, Lynette is having a great comp, so pop over to her blog to sign up to win one of her NEW patterns!!
Luv Sarah xx

PS: post number 98 - 2 more to go............

Hi Sarah, it looks quite tight in the hoop, loosen it a bit so you can pinch your fingers in the underneath hand, then it will be easier to turn the needle,

Hi Sarah! You go GIRL! Good luck with the challenge. That's just too much pressure for me and a bit too expensive to try and buy all that wadding to finish my projects. I'll try for one.
I'm off to Peg's next Saturday to do the Cyber Stitching with our group. Should be a great day. Enjoy your day too.

I signed up for Cyber Stitching a while ago - hoping the parcel will be there when I get home from work. Think it's time to visit Peg and sign up there as well - not sure how many tops I'll do though. There's a few piled up in the sewing room.

Srah, I think one hand quilted quilt is equal to at least 5 machine finished ones, I am not sure I have time to take up Pegs challenge but we had a lovely day with their group yesterday.
