Its been a long time coming.......

It sure has!! I have had this fabric by 3 Sisters called Maison De Noel for THAT long and had intended to make Past Times quilt after I had seen it in a craft mag made up in this range. I bought 20 fq's separately and then bought the pattern. So, this long weekend while Dennis was on night shift I thought I could get a bigger project done (or near enough) and this is the project I decided on!! Kristy came to do a little hand stitching on Friday night while I cut them all out - well took me AGES to get around to it!! Roseanne came around on Saturday and done a bit of sewing too, so we took pics of our completed items. As soon as Roseanne layed her quilt on the floor, little miss Sophie plonked right down on it LOL!! Anyway, here is mine:

All it needs now is the borders and then I will attach it to my quilt frame to be stippled or maybe the swirls and stars........ I didn't use many plaids/wovens in it like the picture had as I thought they were just too thin....... I am just so pleased with the outcome!!
As you can see, Sophie loves the camera!! We went to Harvey Norman in Launceston today to pick up our rug. It had to be pre-ordered as it is quite large, to go under our dining setting and enough room for the chairs to be pulled out. I actually thought it was browns with a little blue in it, but it is more of a purple..... Looks ok though.

Looks like you have done a great job on Past Times, it's a great pattern goes together so well.
Funny how dogs always sit on a quilt top if it is layed on the floor - LOL
Glad to see you found some time for you over the long weekend.

I love that range too. I have bits and pieces of it as well and have never gotten around to doing anything with mine...maybe one day. I just adore what you have done with it. OH what a feeling! when something has been lurking in the fabric stash for such a long time to finally become something hey! Nice work Sarah. I can't wait to see your quilting.

Looking forward to seeing it finished.
You inspired me to start Truly Scrumptious, not previously being an embroiderer I am enjoying my tv/stitching time - Thanks!
