Mum also included a ball of the wool for Nan to make herself one (she loves her knitting), but she couldn't quite get the hang of it.... Well, so she said! So, I went through the pattern, told her it was easy peasy, and started her off..... Nope, she didn't want to do it, said it was too hard, and that 'I am the clever one' so I should do it! Far out! And, you know what? This scarf is quite long, the pattern says 5 stitches, I did an hour worth while she was here, done some while watching TV that night, then finished it off an hour after I got up the next morning:
This one is not as thick and as long as the one Mum did. Not sure how many stitches she used, I must find out 'cause...... Yep, I had to buy more! If you are interested in this wool, it is a Lincraft brand only from what I can find. The pattern comes with the ball, and you can get it from here.
Thanks Mum xx

Gorgeous scarf!
I've ordered some wool but would love to know how many stitches your mum used.
My friend just finished one and she had 6 stitches.
Now thats cool!
Sarah - this looks fabulous - I think I am going to have order one. Let me know how many stitches your mum cast on too, yours looks great - a big wow factor there.
One of the girls from wor said that there friends made one and used 7 stitches but i do like both of them.
They look great Sarah....started one myself with some wool I purchased at the Markets Saturday....Ice Flamenco.
Lucky it's easy...haven't knitted for years!
Cheers....Jane.
