Looking good (if I do say so myself!)! I always have trouble with the dreaded satin stitch, it never seems to look any good, but check out my hearts! Pretty chuffed!
Did you notice that I didn't go up and down or from side to side? Well, I found it SO much easier if I went sideways...... I then ended up with a nice neat straight line on the side of the heart. Pretty clever idea and I thought of it myself! Maybe others do it this way, I have no idea but I will be doing it this way from now on with hearts! Click on the pic for a better sticky beak! If you have not tried it, I must say give it a go, it will surprise you!
Only 4 more to go!
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.

It is so nice when you discover a way to do something you love better hey!
Beautiful stitching & the hearts do look better that way. Clever! Tracee xx
Gorgeous satin stitch Sarah, well done. I'm working on this project to.
Wonderful stitching...it's such a cheerful design too!
looks great, you have lovely stitching
Looks good Sarah ... including the satin stitch. Don't recognise this project so looking forward to seeing a bit more soon.
they look fantastic! I don't have any set way when I do satin stitch; it is whatever direction takes my fancy at the time! Some turn out better than others. I think Melly from Melly and Me had a tutorial on her blog somewhere about doing satin stitch; she back stitches around the shape first then does satin stitch over the backstitch - helps it to sit out more.
