Clamshell

With a friends birthday coming up recently, I was trying to think of a little something to make for her.  She had been eyeing off one of my Clamshells (shop display) for a while so I decided to make her one.  They are fully hand sewn, and don't take long.  You only need some scraps of pellon and fabric for outer and lining.  She is a 'black & white' gal, so I chose to fussy cut the birds from some scraps I had of the Modern Folkloric range.  She was pretty happy with it.  This one is the medium size. 

 

I then decided to make myself one, the small one to put my thimble in.  Of course I chose a bit of Bonnie and Camille fabric!

 

 

I am going to make another soon, as I have another friends Birthday coming up.  She has been eyeing one now off too!
