A celebration

Last week I had a Birthday.  I was 39 + 1!  I have been quite sneaky by telling people I am 32, for quite a few years, and got away with it too!  Not any longer as some certain people found out.

Anyway, I have been SO spoilt, by a some family and friends, and will show you some gifts within the next few days - I need to take some pics :)

This is the BEAUTIFUL bag from Teresa in our online stitching Groups Birthday Challenge.  A black and white bag with a little something inside.  A lovely tissue cover, emery boards, notebook and my all time FAVOURITE Scorched Almonds - which I will add are still in the bag believe it or not!

Thankyou Teresa, I love them all!

Then the weekend just passed, we had a 'mainland' visitor!  It was wonderful to see Lynda again!  We both celebrated a 9 + 1 Birthday in the same month, and as there were 8 of us getting together at the shop to all work on Amy Butler's Weekender bag, the girls made a little celebration out of it!  Lovely food:  Pizza, soup, breads.... Cupcakes

And, Lynda's desert trifle, which I have to say was DELISH!!  Even Hubby who is not a desert person, was raving about it!

No-one finished their bag, but it was still lovely to catch up with everyone.  Thanks girls for making my Birthday a special one xx

Fantastic Sarah, I'm sure there was a lot of giggling and not much sewing.

Bring on the walking stick & hearing aids! Ha ha!
It seems it was worth those friends finding out your actual age, for all the lovely celebrating that happened...
When will we get to see the finished Amy Butler bag?!
And I do love the look of the Pinwheel bag too, very pretty!

Happy Birthday! You girls had a great weekend by the look of it. Funny enough I told people I was 31 at my birthday in April and they believed me. One even said no way, you're not that old! I turned 37. I am going to be 31 for as long as I can get away with it. Trouble is my daughter will be 11 in August so that sort of dates me!
