New sewing

Hubby bought a new sewing machine for me for Christmas.  There really wasn't anything wrong with my old faithful (actually not old either, only about 6 years or so), but after looking at a sewing machine for a friend - her hubby asked my opinion on a machine, then I found one I liked myself!  Anyway, I had been itching to do abit of sewing.  I had cut out all the Mini Spools blocks from some Fig Tree fabrics I had stashed here a few weeks ago, then got a cold and didn't feel like sewing so it got put aside.  Last Sunday, I felt a sewing day was the order for the day and I set to work!

I made all the blocks:

Straight line quilting - which is not 100%, and after numerous times un-picking, its staying!
It was bound:

And finished in a couple of afternoons!

Totally happy with it :)
