Big news

I have some exciting news..... We are expanding our online business by opening it up to the public here in George Town!  We have been looking at suitable buildings for a few months, nearly had a great one, with beautiful views of the river but sadly my Long Arm would not fit!!  There were a few empties about, but some just not big enough.  Anyway, we have secured a premises just off the Main Street and this weekend we started cleaning it up!  Luckily its in pretty good condition, as its been empty for quite some time, it just needed a good clean and paint.

Saturday morning it started out like this:

Saturday, about lunch time we managed to get some under-coat on before running out with only a little bit left to do:

Then by Saturday afternoon, we managed to paint one wall to see what it was like:

But, I HATE it!!  What a disappointment!  I am just terrible at choosing paint colours!  Seriously I am!  I always choose something too dark, in knowing that, I chose something too light!  It was supposed to be green, like an apple green, but this is more yellow!  So, off to Bunnings at 8am this morning to grab something else..... On my OWN!!  Fingers crossed I chose ok!  When I got back at about 10.30, Hubby and Dad had most of the green/yellow on - they decided not to waste it and use it for the first coat.

Before we left today, I nagged (its in our job description isn't it?!) about just getting a teeny tiny bit of the new paint on the walls before we left.... Here it is:

OMG!!!  I *love* it!!  I am excited to see all the walls done with it.

A HUGE thanks to my Dad who has helped us so much, even spending his Father's Day with us, working..... He even plans to go down during the week while we both work!!  And to Roseanne, who seen on IG what we were doing on Saturday and came down to lend us a hand cleaning both yesterday and today!!  I am now all stiff and sore and ready for bed!!

So, in just a few weeks, we will be 'open'!!  Exciting times!!
