A new quilt

Yesterday was my sister-in-law Judy's 50th Birthday!  With only 2 weeks notice about her party, both Roseanne and Myself decided to make a quilt!  We hunted for the perfect fabric, and as she loved blue and brown together, we settled on a Sweet Serenade Jelly Roll.  We spent all day Saturday of last weekend putting the top together!  We changed the pattern around a bit from the original:

At about 7.30pm, we finally had a quilt top:

Sunday morning was spent quilting it up.  Hubby chose the quilting pattern - music notes.  The fabric had music notes on some of the prints and because its a Birthday gift, it suited.....

Here it is, ready to hand over to Roseanne for binding:

Binding was finished mid week!  Label attached and we gave it to her last night.  What an effort and it was SO worth it..... She loved it!!

Sophie loved it too LOL!
