A friendship quilt

On Saturday I headed out to The Cherry Shed for another blogger and friend sewing day.  It is always a great day, but this time we had a hidden agenda!  Our online sewing group Friends in Stitching and the Material Girls (from Burnie), all made a spool block for a special 'hug' quilt for Christine!

Christine was so surprised.  We were good at keeping it under our hats!  It was lovely to give such a special quilt in the flesh.

Here is the full shot of the quilt:

It turned out beautifully!  Everyone did a awesome job!

I quilted it, and chose this cool 'Spools' pattern:

A gorgeous label was made by Dawnie:

I managed to do a whopping 3 rows on my knitting.  Whoopee  Do Dah!!  Too busy chatting.... and eating!  lol  We are all looking forward to the next day, in November!
