Crochet *love*

I thought I would stop in and show you my crochet hexagons!  So far I have made 25.  Pretty slow going compared to a friend that's way above the 40 mark!  I am really enjoying doing these at night while watching some TV.

I am also pretty happy with my colours.  I purchased 10 colours and the white for background.  Mum has chosen to do a cream background and gosh it looks wonderful!  Next time I pop there I should take a pic!

All random colours.

And, these babies are B.I.G!  Bigger than the palm of my hand!

I have not decided on how big I want to go as yet.... I suppose I wills top when I get sick of it!  Oh, and as you can see, I have decided that I will sew them together when they are all done, that way I can choose the layout a bit better!  A tip if you decide to make some...... All my wool is the same brand, 8ply and I have not had any trouble with the sizing of my blocks.  A couple other ladies I know who are making this, have had LOTS of trouble with their block size and we think it is due to the different brands as some 8ply's are thinner than others!  Weird I know!

Lovely - I like them edged with white. I made some a while back with loads of bright colours. It is all sewn together and I am trying to crochet a border on it to make it bigger but it keeps going askew - lol. Need to sit down and concentrate on it. Have fun xxx

They look so pretty - I guess wool thickness is a lot like fashion sizes - not at all consistent!!

such gorgeous crochet blocks. they will look gorgeous all sewn together. using all the same brand and ply is a very good idea as mixing different brands even of the same ply makes a huge difference and it can also be noticed when it gets its first wash as the different wools or blends all react differently. i have made 2 jackets using different brands of the same ply and have two different sized jackets. both thankfully fit lol.
