Can you remember.............

Can you remember your very first quilt?  I can... Check it out HERE.  The top was made a long time before I got it quilted.  Its nice to see how far you have grown from your first quilt!  Lots of lesson's learnt!

Well, I wanted to show you this quilt made by a friend of mine.  She used to quite often check out what I was making and only last year decided to give quilting a bash!  Her first project was a couple of hand pieced hexie cushions which turned out a treat.... And, before she decided on lashing out and purchasing a sewing machine, she came here and made a table runner, just to see if she liked it.  She did, but really loved doing the paper piecing so decided on the Apple Core design.  Just a lap quilt for her couch for starters:

She finished it a week or so ago, and gave it to me to quilt.  As we were looking over my quilting designs, another friend pipped up and said 'go with Apples'.  How fitting!  So, that is what was decided.  She also chose a red backing to that she could admire the quilting too......

I think she will be very chuffed with her very first quilt!  Don't you?

What a beautiful quilt & hand pieced. I would be so proud if I was the maker. The apples quilt pattern just finishes it off superbly. Great work girls! Tracee xx
