2 more finishes.....

The night before the Friendship Day, I decided to whip up a couple of purses using the Spring Strips I had in stock as I had tons! I changed the pattern slightly, only that I didn't do a stitchery front or crazy patch, but just added a button to some felt. Turned out a treat! I am so pleased I made them! They are quick to put together, and I sold out of the Spring Strips within a couple of hours. More arriving soon!

They are actually 'thankyou' gifts for my SIL's for helping me out on Saturday (along with a favour)! One for Judy in her favourite colour - Green:

And, one in Roseanne's favourite colour -Red.

I must make myself one, when I get more strips lol!

As well as the little purses, I gave them each a pair of these CUTE little scissors:

As featured in Vignette Issue 2 by Leanne's House:

As far as I know, I am the only Aussie seller of these, and I have LIMITED stock left. They were another 'hot' item on Saturday. Interested? Click here.

On family news. CONGRATULATIONS to our niece Mel (at only 21 years of age I might add) and her partner Paul on the purchase of their very first home! We are very proud of you xx

Yesterday.......

Yesterday was spent at the George Town 'Wilted Quilted' Friendship Day, and WHAT a day it was! I was there at about 8.45am to set up my business, with the help of my 2 wonderful sisters-in-law (not a crash hot pic, but the only one I took of them)! They were such troopers, and I would not have done it without them.... THANKS girls you ROCK xx

We were so run off our feet, that I didn't take may pics at all, actually only these three! If anyone took a pic of the front of my booth, I would *love* a pic......

Part of 'show and tell":

I was such a GREAT day. I chatted alot (surprise, surprise), and met Annie, who I have been chatting to for a little while via email, but had not met 'in real life'! It was lovely to finally meet her :o) I am sure we will catch up again!

I was so stuffed when I got home! I went to bed at 9.30pm, and am ashamed to say, got up at 9am!! lol

Thankyou to the 'Wilted Quilted' gals for inviting me!

And, I have another 2 finishes! Yep! Pretty good going this month! I will pop back tomorrow and show you......

I hope you all had a wonderful and productive weekend!

Another couple......

Just put the finishing touches to this little project:

Now I look at it, I think I need some blush (oops, and the ribbon on the hat!!)........ Though pretty chuffed with the way it turned out! I think I love this one more than the smaller one. This one actually has a little handle, so it is like a little handbag:

And, I finally got around to making the Hexagon Purse. I have actually had the bits lying around for goodness knows how long, and it only took me an hour to get it done!

And, my Tis The Season top is done! YAY! I have it up on my Design Wall for the moment.

Not 100% sure about one of the prints surrounding the blocks......

Seems to blend a little too much. What do you think? Can I really be bothered re-doing it?!

I 'Love to Shop'

Don't we all! Today was spent in Launceston, so while I was there I did a bit of shopping! As I walked past Diva, I noticed that they had a sale on..... 4 items for $10! I just HAD to stop in...... I purchased 3 broaches (more on that later as it is a little secret thing) and when I went looking for the 4th, I came across this GORGEOUS 'watch' necklace:

It measures 2 1/2" long, so not as big as the pic looks - I think it is just the angle the pic was taken! Cute!

Ok, so while on the shopping note, my other finish! Love To Shop Purse! Another project I HAD to do when the pattern came out and finally it is done!

And was SO easy to put together!

I have another nearly finished too, just a little bit different.... More soon!

Charmed I'm Sure

Oops... What happened to Tuesday?

A day late, but that does not matter! Here is my other new finish! Charmed I'm Sure Table Runner by Leanne Beasley. Made with a Charm Pack and some Moda Bella White.

There are 12 little stitcheries in this design, one in every row, scattered throughout:

Turned out pretty well! I have also kitted these up, including DMC for Saturday. I wont be listing them on my online store until after then, but if you are interested, send me an email and I will give you the details.

Wonder what finish I will show you tomorrow..... Yes, there is MORE!

Lou Lou

When Natalie Ross designed this pattern: Lou Lou I decided I must make one. Then when I was in Hobart earlier this year, I picked up the perfect fabric bundle (Rainy Days And Mondays)!

And, I must say, it didn't take too long to whip up either! Finished Saturday night:

I didn't have any fabric covered button thingies so I just used plain buttons. I toyed with the idea of 2 buttons on top of each other, but nothing seemed quite right:

See the cute umbrella's I fussy cut? Cute hey?!

It is a decent size too:

If you are coming to the Friendship Day, you can see it in the 'flesh'!

Simple Pleasures

Today I will show you these BEAUTIFUL Christmas Ornies! Can you remember I made one at Camp last year? I actually un-picked mine as in my haste at Camp, I didn't use pellon as there was no iron at the time! So, I decided to make another 3 while at it!

All made from the beautiful Theodore Cleave buttons.

Here is the Reindeer:

Angel:

Snowman (which seems to be a big favourite!):

And the man in red (which is my favourite!):

Pattern by Marg Low.

These would look FANTASTIC tied to a Christmas gift and used as a gift tag........

I finished putting the borders on that quilt I talked about yesterday! Sadly, it wont be quilted for a little while yet. More on that later!

It is raining here today! Good sewing weather..... so I am just going to bum around, and try to get my TTS top together or cut out at least!

Enjoy your weekend.

Sunkissed

Ok, so I have been head down, bum up! Sewing LOTS! I have 7 finishes for this month, pretty happy about that! So, what can I show you??? I will show you over a few days, as I don't want to 'blast you' with eye candy! lol

I recently got asked if my business would like to set up a booth at the local Friendship Day which is NEXT Saturday! Of course I said 'yes'! I am pretty excited (and very VERY nervous!). So, I set about to make some samples of patterns I sell, fabric etc, and it was a good excuse to get those things I REALLY wanted to make done too! And, I have been busy cutting kits for things as well.

When Sunkissed came in, I knew I had to make something from this range, not something I actually 'went' for, but I felt the need to make something from it! You know how it is!! So, here is 'Shattered Sunkissed'. A pattern I made myself! I will put it in my Tutorial page soon.

I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.......

I will have kits of this quilt on the day too! Isn't is lovely?!

Ok, I will pop back tomorrow to share another finish!

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend..... I am off to put some borders on a quilt......

Gift

On Saturday, I had a visitor, one I had not seen for, which seems like AGES! Branding a belated Birthday gift! And, what a lovely gift it was!

A bundle of yummy Nancy fabrics to add to my Hexie stash:

The most gorgeous beaded decorated pin! How cute is that?! And, a Gingerbread smelly button too:

Feeling pretty lucky!

Thanks Roseanne I love them all xx

Paper craft - again!

Last Saturday afternoon was spent at my Blogless Sister-In-Law Judy's house to have a play with some Stampin Up stuff! We made a couple of these GORGEOUS cards (one I have already given away!). Nice huh?!

And, I totally *love* the paper handbags I see about in mags and blogs and Judy found a template to make some and we had a go..... Ever so easy!

I quite like the different paper flap, with the flower! I am yet to still add some Velcro to the inside to keep it down.....

Pretty productive day!

I have been sewing HEAPS lately, and have lots to share soon. I also have a ton of emails to get to.... I am too embarrassed to tell you exactly how many! So, if you are waiting on an email from me, I promise I will get to you within the next couple of days!

A day off!

I have now finished my Work Placement, so today was my first Friday off for 12 weeks! How I am going to *love* having these days off again! Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed my placement, but is such a long week working 46 hours for a whole 12 weeks! Next Friday though, is my final lesson, which is only a half day anyway!

So, I was up bright and early this morning (6am) as I didn't want to waste the day! I cut some fabric ready to make a bag I have had on my 'to do list' for SO long, then I was off to run some errands in Exeter, Launceston and to catch up with Dennis for lunch!

While catching up with Pauline, I noticed she had these necklace stands. I have wanted one for SO long, but just could not decide on which one! I have my necklaces hanging around my bedside lamp, and when I want one, they are always a little tangled (and I was looking everywhere for about a month for my favourite, I had given up, recently it was found hidden behind the jumble - it was there all along!), it looks messy too! And, Pauline had a whopping 30% off them all...... Whats a girl to do - make a decision and buy one!

I couldn't decide out of the red velvet dress, or pink tutu..... then decided I like this black 'formal' dress complete with a 'bling' necklace! Ok, MINE!!

I now have it sitting on my dressing table, next to Lottie!

I know the pics are terrible, it does not do the stand any justice at all, but it is yucky outside (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it), so I took one with flash (top) and one without to see which one is best.... both a bit average!!

Wonder how long it will take Dennis to see it!

Back to the bag................
