More card:

My very talented paper-craft SIL Judy made one of these 'Little Boy's' album, which she kindly lent me to make one similar as I bought a kit with the card, paper and embellishments from Stampin Up. I FINALLY got around to doing it last week actually. It doesn't look much here as I still have to put the embellishments on, which I will do once I get some pics to fill it:

There are a few little pockets to stash pics or journaling as well as a couple of flip out pages:

Quite bright, perfect for a boy!

I have been doing lots of blog hopping the last few days, as I have had SO many to catch up on, I have not left many comments at all - sorry! What a blurker!! I think I am pretty much caught up now!

Some different craft for me:

This afternoon, I decided to do something a little different than sewing. I felt in a 'paper craft' mood and seeing that one of my friends made herself one of these recently, I decided to see if I could make one too:

Ok, I couldn't stop at just one....... So I made my usual 3!! Roseanne was here when I was making them, so I gave one to her (the pink one):

There is a little spot at the side for a little pen or pencil:

A great little 'post it' note holder!

Cute hey!! The other 2 I am giving to the girls at work.... Must make myself one too - so that will be 4!! lol
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

Prim Lovers??

While moving, I came across these Primitive Doll kits by Sun Vally Primitives which I purchased via a Xmas Club they ran a while back.

As these are not my taste anymore, I have decided to sell them.......
These are full kits, to make up exactly as they are in the pics including the glass glitter if pattern requires. I am selling them at $20 each + post.

New!

Saturday, I dropped into Calico Crossroad's to pick up my new Quilt Ladder! Isn't it gorgeous!!

At the moment, I have it in my quilting room with some of my samples on:

I have been eyeing off the coat rack to match......... to hang my handmade bags on....... debating, debating.........
No sewing this weekend! Actually, none this past week! My latest project is a knitted pair of socks and I am only half way through my first one! I will pop back and show you another time!
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

Paper Bag Swap

This is what I received from Helen for the Paper Bag Swap:

2 gorgeous FQ's, Doily, Rose Trim, a gold button and some Freddo's! Yum! Thanks Helen xx

I did have in mind something to make for Helen, but now I am not too sure as the doily has 'thrown' me a little......

Don't panic Helen I will sort something out LOL! Any suggestions?

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend! I have just finished putting everything away in my sewing room, and now you can see the floor! YAY!! But, you don't want to see in the cupboards - boxes, bags and tubs everywhere! Spent nearly an hour looking for my design wall..... Now that is found, I will get Dennis to pin it up for me.

Wild Thing

I tell you, this quilt is one of my favourites! So quick and so easy! I totally *love* this version using the Blush range of fabrics (the bottom is straight, I just have not got it on the floor flat!). When the Blush range was released, I just knew straight away that I wanted to make this quilt in that range...... Even if someone tried to talk me out of it!

Wild Thing, designed by the gorgeous Camille from Thimble Blossoms!

I used chocolate coloured ric-rac and loved the effect it has over all:

Totally girly, unusual for me I think and I love, love, love it!!

I made one last year for my dear friend Kristy, I enjoyed making it so much that I decided I had to have one too..... You can check that one out here, and I have even got kits to make it up here.

I have also recently finished stitching 2 the Lynette Anderson's 'My Garden' blocks, though all I have to do it applique the birds on both...... Must get onto that!
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend.

Baby Zak's

So, do you want to see one of my finishes???

Well, here is one!!
Baby Zak's Quilt by Rosalie Quinlan! Beautiful fabrics by Nancy Halverson:

I made it slightly bigger than the pattern and it turned out a treat!! I bet the couple expecting a baby will love it! And, I made it in the nick of time as she is due any day!! It was such a pleasure to make and if you want to make one the same, I have kits available in the same fabrics here.

Tomorrow, I will share my Wild Thing!!

Hey!

I am back..............!!

We have had the Internet off for nearly 2 weeks due to our move, and I tell you they were LONG days! It has taken me a few days to catch up on the massive heap of emails I had received in that time and I think I have nearly caught up! Now to catch up on some blog reading!!

The move went very well, thanks for asking! We still have not fully un-packed and this may take a little bit more time and we still have a container full of shed stuff to bring around here! Maybe this weekend! We are very happy how everything has worked out, and we are loving being here..... Even Sophie - she hasn't been stressed like last time!! We had ordered ourselves a new dining table which was due n Monday/Tuesday, but now it will be next week GRRR! Oh well, these things happen!

On handover, our builders gave to us a bottle of bubbly, 2 wine glasses and these BEAUTIFUL flowers! Just lovely!

Anyway, enough about all that! I have managed to do a bit of stitching and have even managed to complete a couple of things! Those I will share later, but first I wanted to share that I sent off some stuff to the lovely Sue, who will be making for me in a paper bag swap. I decided to decorate a bag just for her:

One of the things I added was a stitchery, this was not a compulsory item:

Here are the other bits:

2 FQ's in Rural Jardin, some red ric-rac and a button..... And, some Ferrero Rochers!
I wonder what she will make for me?
