Anniversary pics & My Giveaway

Today was the day for my MIL & FIL's 50th Wedding Anniversary! We all surprised them by taking them to lunch at York Cove (which is just down the road from their house)..... the meal was just beautiful!! Here is the Fraser clan:

At the end of lunch, we all went into the Lounge and opened the big pressie that was sitting on the chair......... yes, we made them wait until AFTER lunch to open the gift!!

I thought I would share a pic of the quilts new home.. The colours match the bedroom perfectly don't you think??

Now, onto my Giveaway!! Remember this..... After I got home today, I was really in a stitching mood and decided to finish it off. And, it only took about an hour!! Can you believe it lol!! I patched up the hole and added a larger twill tape and it is as good as new!! So, to celebrate my 200th post this will be my Giveaway (minus the scissors - their mine!!)

Block 1 Completed

I have finally took a pic of my 'one and only' completed block of Breast Of Friends!! I am SO far behind!! I have another few things to complete and I will get back to it.



I am quite happy with the way it turned out, my needle turn is not perfect, but hey, it is not bad for my 2nd attempt!!


I have not done a stitch of sewing since completing the Anniversary Quilt, hope to very soon so that I can finish off the Giveaway Prize.......... One more post until my giveaway........... stay tuned!!

So, I am out of the 'chair'!!

Hello Hello!! Roseanne has told me that I MUST do a post this weekend 'or else'...... I am not sure what 'else' means and dont really want to find out, so here I am lol!! She is a scary woman lol :+)

The last 2 weeks have gone by SO fast!! I did manage to finally finish my hand quilting for the Anniversary Quilt!! I dropped it into Roseanne's home today ready for her to stitch the binding on. I cant believe that I got it all done in 4 weeks....... I am so amazed!! We are so please with the way it has come out. Here is the quilt, just waiting on the binding to be sewn down:

Next Saturday is the 'day', the family will be going out for lunch to celebrate and we will give it to my in-laws then.......
So now, I am out of my stitching chair, even if it is only for a day or two!!
Tonight, I plan to do that ever growing basket of ironing which I have neglected the past few weeks hahahaha........ Then, this week I will finish of the 'giveaway gift' - I have 2 more posts before I get to the big 200!!

I have afew more things to share, but they will have to wait for my next post....... in a day or two!!

To say 'thankyou' to the lovely Kerry Swain for sending me the Kaisercraft Booklet I was after, I made her her very own 'K' Luggage Tag:

She recieved it in the mail after only 3 days in the Post..... what a record!! I am glad you liked it Kerry! I still have not made one for myself!!
On the progress on the Anniversary Quilt, I have now finished 5 of the 17 blocks and will post a pic of that within the next couple of days.

Do you get tired of stitching??

Sometimes, I get a bit tired of stitching....... I have been doing the Anniversary Quilt for the past week (though did find the time to make a little ' thank you' gift' to send off) and decided to give myself a little break. So, on Saturday night, I decided to make a few cards:

These are what I came up with! As you can see, I LOVE the scallop circle punch lol

Now, this post is my number 195...... WOW!! So, I will have to get stuck into my giveaway soon and I know exactly what I will do!!
